As a result, it will most likely be exposed to rain, dust, and, most significantly, wind. Quality and Durability – The antennas are usually mounted on the RV’s exterior. You should always be certain that your antenna has a broad coverage area so that you may plan longer excursions without any difficulty. Strong Reception – The antenna’s most essential parameter is its reception. Here are the key features you should always consider before you add the antenna you want to your cart. To make sure that you have all the things you need when you travel with your RV, we have a list of the best RV TV antennas that you may consider adding to your cart!īefore we get into the list of the RV TV Antenna we will provide, let’s talk about what you need to look out for in a quality antenna. Traveling on your RV is already entertainment itself but making sure you never get left out on TV shows or daily news, especially with the need of keeping up with weather reports and updates, will make your trip even better. One thing you need for sure besides a good quality TV that you can bring anywhere, is finding a quality RV TV antenna. Being in your RV for days or weeks will never be boring. The good thing is, you can equip your RV with a state of the art TV for your entertainment. You can purchase the plastic mounting plate which covers the entire area so it is not a problem. What do you do when you suddenly miss the enjoyment of watching TV or the need to keep updated with the news while you’re away in your RV? On my last coach, the fiberglass pulled up but on this one it remained intact. Someone mentioned in another post that you might have to repair the fiberglass under your original batwing. You turn the Jack here and note the strongest signal on an led display If you want only cable you don't do anything.ģ-The white plastic deal mounts where your batwing raise-lower handle was. When you want to use the antenna you push a little button on this plate. This is where you run the 12v to and plug in the coax for the Jack (TVs and cable TV). On this coach the batwing was banging around up there and beating up the fiberglass. I've replaced the batwing on two coaches with the jack. Lastly, where does the power come from for the fixed mount? I know for the head replacement the power is in the coax which carries 12v via the OEM antenna booster switch correct? I like the aiming feature of the fixed Jack, but the price of just replacing the head has got to be one of the cheapest upgrades I've come across in my 12 months of ownership. Question: many have just done the head replacement.did you notice a significant reduction in the noise on the roof once bat wings were removed? I read posts on this forum as far as 5 years back, some from just a few months ago. Seeing the King Jack my first thought was.this would eliminate the noise. SO, long story short.when I drive my coach the banging on the roof from the bat wing drives my nuts, I have wrapped the bat wing in foam (floaties cut to fit) which has helped but it is still an annoyance. While getting the tour of his coach I noticed the antenna on the roof.a King Jack ease don't flame me but I had never seen nor heard of the King Jack prior to today ( all my attentions have been focused from the roof down for the past 12 months). While at Old Town Motorcoach today I met and had a long visit with Saddlesore.
